March 8-12, 2017. Over 200 U.S. exhibitors from 43 states exhibited in the Brand USA Pavilion during the largest travel and tourism show in the world, the 51st Internationale Tourismus Börse (ITB) in Berlin. 169,000 visitors attended the five day show, with approx. 109,000 trade visitors and 60,000 consumers. On Friday the Chargé d’ Affaires Kent Logsdon welcomed 240 media representatives from the travel and tourism industry, there to network with representatives of U.S destinations and VisitUSA. Another highlight was a Native American educational outreach program for AIANTA (American Indian and Alaska Native Tourism Association) in a Berlin high school. Sarah Karpinski, a National Park Service Ranger participated in the ITB to promote “America Wild”, Brand USA’s IMAX film on the National Parks.
