The Embassy hosted its annual Berlin Day reception for the 350 American participants in the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program (CBYX) on June 8. The students, who have spent the past year living with German host families, enjoyed speeches from Deputy Chief of Mission Kent Logsdon and Member of Parliament Kerstin Radomski, as well as the opportunity to learn about careers in foreign affairs from Embassy officers. The 350 participants enjoyed singing and dancing along to a few American songs. The event concluded by singing the national anthem.
Earlier in the day, the CBYX participants visited Germany’s Bundestag, where they had the
opportunity for a Q&A session with Bundestag President Wolfgang Schäuble and other officials. What a way to wind up another incredible year for the CBYX program!
