2018 FAST Officers Reception

27 early-career diplomats from 23 embassies in Berlin

Last night, Deputy Chief of Mission Kent Logsdon welcomed a group of 27 early-career diplomats from 23 embassies in Berlin to the U.S. Embassy to meet their American counterparts.  New diplomats from all five continents exchanged ideas about the future of diplomacy and their experiences working and living in Berlin, and DCM Logsdon spoke to the group about his first posting at the U.S. Consulate in Stuttgart.  At U.S. embassies around the world, deputy chiefs of mission mentor and guide diplomats in their first and second postings, promoting a culture of professional development and team spirit to carry them through their careers in the U.S. Foreign Service.  Interested in learning more about careers at the Department of State?  You can find more information here:  https://careers.state.gov/.
