Message to U.S. Citizens: Berlin Consular Section Services
EVENT: The final construction stages of the brand new U.S. Consular Section, within the redesigned Clayallee building in Berlin, Germany, are underway. This means that, beginning January 14th and continuing until further notice, all U.S. consular services will be available at the U.S. Consulate General Frankfurt and U.S. Consulate General Munich only. Nonimmigrant visa appointments will not be scheduled in Berlin, nor will the Berlin Consular Section be able to accept walk-in appointments. Diplomatic visas will continue to be processed in Berlin.
Any U.S. citizen in need of passport, citizenship, or notary services should make an appointment at the U.S. Consulate General Frankfurt or the U.S. Consulate General Munich.
American Citizens Services will continue to be available in Berlin for emergency cases. To report the arrest, death, or hospitalization of a U.S. citizen OR if you are a U.S. citizen who has been the victim of a crime, please contact the American Citizens Services Unit at tel: +49 30 8305 0, or send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
