If your visa application is approved, your passport and visa will be returned by Deutsche Post in an envelope to the address you indicate during the appointment scheduling process. Deutsche Post will not be able to deliver documents to incomplete addresses, addresses outside of Germany, a P.O box or to an APO/DPO addresses.
If you are not the main resident of the delivery address or your name is not displayed on the mail box, please put in the name of resident. This should be in the form of C/O (in care of). If you enter the address of your company, ensure that that can accept mail also on Saturdays and for employees.
Passports that cannot be delivered due to incomplete or incorrect addresses are returned to the U.S. Embassy/Consulates. This takes at least seven working days. Applicants whose passport have been returned will be contacted and informed of the next steps.
