The American Citizen Services Unit of the U.S. Consulate General Frankfurt is looking for individuals interested in participating in the newly formed American Liaison Network.
Potential tasks could involve relaying emergency information to U.S. citizens in a designated area, being a first point of contact for Consulate staff, participating in discussions via online forums and in person meetings, and helping Consulate staff understand issues of concern to U.S. citizens. In exigent situations only, and at the Embassy’s/Consulate’s explicit direction, you may also be asked to help the Embassy provide emergency services to U.S. citizens.
We are looking for individuals with close ties to the U.S. Expat community who are long term residents in Frankfurt’s Consular district: Baden-Württemberg, Hessen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rheinland-Pfalz, and Saarland. Volunteers don’t have to be U.S. citizens, and the time commitment involved would be minimal.
