Minus One Car

The U.S. Embassy in Berlin supports, in cooperation with the Fulbright Alumni Association, the environmental and sustainability project Minus One Car, which aims to raise awareness for everyone’s role in environmental protection. This project encourages people to use their bikes instead of cars, and to inspire other people to follow their lead. To achieve this, Minus One Car will distribute Minus One Car stickers to as many people in as many countries as possible, spreading a clear and visible sign of commitment to sustainability throughout the world. This project shows that environmentally conscious behavior can be easy, and hopefully will inspire more people to live a more responsible, environmentally conscious and sustainable lifestyle. In celebration of Earth Day 2014, Ambassador Emerson will preside over an event at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, where he will launch the project’s website www.minus-one-car.org/ and related photo contest. This will be the Green Ambassadors’ official green light to spread the Minus One Car Stickers across the globe. All participants in the photo contest can be seen on a world map at:
