USA For You is geared towards students who are aiming for a middle school diploma and would like to get involved into community work in the United States as part of a two-week exchange. USA For You is offered in different regions of eastern Germany as well as in Munich and North Rhine-Westphalia. Participants can actively engage in projects and contribute to transatlantic relations. They also have the opportunity to take an English language course and experience everyday life in the U.S. with a host family.
Full scholarships are awarded for the program. It is funded by the U.S. Embassy Berlin, the Robert Bosch Stiftung, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy based on a resolution of the German Bundestag, the City of Munich (Department of Education and Sports, Pedagogical Institute) and Experiment e.V. The project is carried out by Youth for Understanding, the City of Munich and Experiment e.V.
