Visa Wait Times

We are committed to keep our visa wait times low. You can help us by following these tips. 

1. Choose the visa category that matches your type of travel. If you don’t apply for the right visa type, you will have to make a correction and your case could be delayed. 
2. Check the embassy or consulate website to see if you need an in-person visa interview or qualify for the visa waiver program. 
3. For life and death emergencies that require travel to the United States, contact the U.S. embassy or consulate and request an expedited appointment. 
4. Choose your visa interview date carefully and remember it. Missed appointments will delay your case and make both your wait time and the wait time of others longer. If you know you can’t make the appointment, please cancel it! 
5. Come prepared the day of your interview. Missing information or documents could delay your case.
