The American Consulate General in Frankfurt is seeking a student intern programmer.


Are you a budding programmer who likes to solve tough problems? Do you like working with people from different countries on a group project? How about getting to know the world of embassies, international organizations and diplomacy? Are you familiar with .Net, C#, CSS, JavaScript, or Git?

Our teams use commercial cloud platforms to build innovative solutions to make government work smarter. When you join our international team of programmers, we’ll help you build your skills on projects that power diplomacy across the continent.


All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific information supporting each item.

EDUCATION: Completion of secondary school degree and present enrollment in a university (at least two years).

EXPERIENCE: Experience in a professional environment (previous internship or clerical work) is required.

LANGUAGE: Level III English (good working knowledge) are required.


  • Computer programming – knowledge of one or more of the following: Microsoft .NET, C#, JavaScript, CSS, and Git source control.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to self-start and take initiative.
